I am constantly looking out for guitars just like the ones I have owned in the past. I recently got lucky on eBay and found a red Hofner Colorama II identical to the one I use to own as a teenager. I believe it's a 1964 model.

It's all original (except for the jack socket) but the bridge pickup was open circuit so I've had it re-wound. I've also replaced the volume pots (and kept the originals).
These guitars never had a pickup switch relying on the 2 volume controls to blend the pickups. Not a BRILLIANT feature.
I sprayed the original one white to match Richard's Burns Marvin in The Amen.[img_assist|nid=294|title=|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=78|height=100]
